Peoria Tournament Information

Varsity Boys Wrestling Tournament  

 @ Peoria High School 


INFORMATION FOR THE CHARGER WRESTLERS & PARENTS 

When: Friday & Saturday, January 5th & 6th, 2024 

Where: Peoria High School- 11200 N 83rd Ave., Peoria, AZ 85345 

What: This will be a 2-day, individual, bracketed tournament. This is the type of tournament you will see at the AIA Sectionals and State tournaments. Parents, see below information on the tournament schedule

1st Session Friday           9:00AM till finished  

(Gyms Will Be Cleared) 

2nd Session Friday          4:00PM till finished  

(Gyms Will Be Cleared) 

3rd Session Saturday      9:00AM till finished  

(Gym Will Be Cleared) 

 All Day Pass-Adults-$ 15.00  CASH ONLY 

All Day Pass-Seniors/ Military/Students-$8.00                   

Session Admission   CASH ONLY 

Adults:     $10.00 Per Session     

Students: $5.00 Per Session                                                                                                                              

  Finals Saturday   5:00PM till finished (three mats)        

Adults:       $10.00   CASH ONLY 

Students:  $5.00 

 

 

 

Wrestlers, this is a 2-DAY wrestling tournament, make sure you report to the mcclintock wrestling room in comfortable clothes for the bus ride to Peoria high school. Also, Bring ALL your gear and items needed for the tournament, i.e. wrestling shoes. You should bring water, healthy food and snacks to last throughout the full days. We will have an ice chest for all to utilize. Souvenir t-shirts will be sold, please bring monies if you want any items. It is also suggested you bring a small pillow and maybe a small blanket for comfort to be used in the team's waiting area and/or bleachers while waiting for your wrestling time. You will be allowed to visit with your parents for a short time, but ALL wrestlers are required to stay with the team during the tournament. 

 

*** Wrestlers will meet at the McClintock wrestling room AT 5:30 a.m.  

The bus will departure before 6:00 a.m.  

 

WEIGH-INS:  7:00AM Friday and 7:00 AM Saturday   

 

AWARDS:  

  • Awards will be given to the first 6 places. 

  • Team trophies will be given to the Champions, Runner-up, 3rd place & 4th place. 

  • Three sportsmanship awards will be given. 

  • Three Outstanding Wrestler awards will be given.
