AIA Boys Sectionals/State Information

Congratulations to the McClintock Chargers Boys Varsity Wrestling Team!

The Chargers battled hard at the 2026 Division II, Section III Tournament, pushing for a team championship and leaving everything on the mat. They came up just short, finishing 4th overall — an achievement that reflects their grit, growth, and determination throughout the season.

Individually, the Chargers are sending six wrestlers to the 2026 AIA State Wrestling Championships. A huge congratulations to our State qualifiers:

- 106 lbs — Terry Holmes: 2nd Place

- 113 lbs — Bryan Zavala: 4th Place

- 120 lbs — Xavier Reynoso: 4th Place

- 144 lbs — Isaac Rubenstein: 4th Place

- 165 lbs — Jamal Abubakari: 2nd Place

- 285 lbs — Santiago Encinas: 4th Place

The AIA State Wrestling Tournament will start on Thursday February 19th, 2026. Wrestling begins at 1 pm for our Division II. The location is at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix. Our Charger Wrestlers will take the mat for warm-ups at approximately 12:30. Friday February 20th., wrestling will start promptly at 5 pm. Saturday February 21st., wrestling will begin at 11 am.
